I feel like this would resonate with people, especially neurodivergent entrepreneurs trying to start or run their businesses while dealing with unpredictable energy levels (sometimes due to other medical conditions) on top of struggling to “fit in” with our fast-paced society.

Thanks for sharing and for the restack 🙏🏻

As the saying goes, “work expands to fill the time available”

Being one-pointed about doing only what matters and cutting out the rest is a discipline that can be hard to cultivate. Being clear about what moves the needle and sticking with it is key.

Busy is a form of laziness. Means you don't have to choose.

Yvette Lans's avatar

That's well said Dennis 🙏🏻 being busy doesn't mean making progress

Great perspective, the past week I was focusing on exactly the same - time and speed, our perception of it in a wider productivity sense

Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏻

Interesting, I never looked at it like that 😅

An experiment that I really like: measure how long something takes. Then next time try to do it in half of the time 😏 it's insane how for you will come (and how much time we all waste 😅)

You reminded me of Parkinson’s Law: work expands to fill the time available for it

Yvette Lans's avatar

Exactly, you always full the time

No. Time needs more of me.

😂 Love it

A sharp reminder that productivity isn’t about more hours, but about focusing on the few actions that truly drive results and having the courage to cut everything else

Yvette Lans's avatar

Exactly 🙏🏻 well said Petar!

I love the quote "it takes courage to do less." I resonate with this so much! I find I always think I have to do more in order to be productive. I always think I've got a never-ending list of things to do (perfectly) that I become overwhelmed. And then I find I end up doing nothing! 🥺 So now, I just try and do whatever I can as devotedly I can, because in the end, I have to look after myself too. 💕

Yvette Lans's avatar

Exactly 🙏🏻 we can't do it all, just focus on the high leverage tasks, one at a time. When you're spread thin, you lose energy, and it will take longer to see results. Take care 🙏🏻

I still feel I needed more time to finish what I am trying to accomplish... :(

Yvette Lans's avatar

It's unlikely that feeling goes away since the world is moving so fast. But often, there is a easier way too achieve your goals. Or you mastered it already. But most of the time, doing too much at the same time is the real problem.

ClariSynth's avatar

Yes I think I am feeling a bit of burnout, but at the same time, I feel I need to keep up with the world as well too

Take your rest, even if it's only for a few days. So you can think clearly and make better decisions. If your body starts whispering, you need to listen. Don't wait till it screams 🙏🏻
